Terms and Conditions- Angels Share Hotel, Edinburgh
The below detailed terms and conditions apply to all hotel bedroom bookings made with Angels Share Hotel, Edinburgh, whether via hotels website, direct with hotel or through an agent.
RATES
All rates are inclusive of Service and VAT at the current rate. (Excluding tourist tax)
Best Available Rates are available until the day of arrival. These rates allow you to alter or cancel your booking up until 12pm 48 hours before arrival without charge. Amendments or cancellations made after 12pm 48 hours before arrival will incur a 100% charge of the first nights room charge. A pre authorisation of a £1 will be charged to credit card at time of booking.
Advance Purchase/ Non Refundable Rates are available 7 days or more before the date of arrival and are fully prepaid at time of bookings. Advance Purchase Rates are non- refundable and non-transferable.
Promotional and Special Offer Rates a part or full payment will be required to be paid at time of booking and this payment is non-refundable and non-transferable. Please refer to details on each offer.
For groups of 4 rooms or more a 25% non-refundable and non-transferable deposit (Value may be higher depending on size of booking) is required to secure the reservation and the remaining non-refundable and non-transferable balance may be due 4 weeks prior to arrival.
(For peak dates a higher deposit will be required and the final non-refundable and non-transferable balance due 6 to 8 weeks prior to arrival)
Individual bookings over the value of £1500 booked on Best Available Rate will be required to pay a 25% non-refundable deposit to secure the bedroom.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If for any reason you cannot make it to stay with us at Angels Share Hotel, you will need to let us know no later than 12pm 48 hours before arrival. If you don’t let us know before this time unfortunately we will have to charge you for the first nights stay.
If you are on Advance purchase rates or promotional rates full prepayment is taken at the time of booking and your prepayment is non-refundable and non-transferable.
If you have booked your bedroom through an Agent the cancellation charges are the same as above however all amendments and cancellations must be processed through your agent, this cannot be done directly with Angels Share Hotel.
PAYMENT FOR ACCOMMODATION
The credit card used to secure the reservation will be used to pay for your accommodation charge in full 48 hours prior to arrival unless further instructions have been provided prior to arrival to use an alternative card. On arrival at the hotel confirmation of card details will be required for any additional charges during your stay and will be charged on check out.
ON ARRIVAL
On arrival at Angels Share Hotel please check in at the reception desk located within the Club Room where our host will be waiting to welcome you. You will be required to provide a credit card on arrival for an additional extras during your stay and as security for the bedroom.
We reserve the right to charge your credit or debit card for any damage done to your room during your stay or for any items that are missing when you leave.
SPECIAL REQUESTS AND ROOM REQUESTS
Whist every effort will be made to carry out special requests, they cannot always be guaranteed. If you would like to request a specific room from our iconic famous Scottish people we will note this as a request however cannot guarantee.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Individual bookings over the value of £1500 booked on Best Available Rate will be required to pay a 25% non-refundable deposit to secure the bedroom.
All guests must be aged 18 years or over to make a booking with us and you must be aged 18 years or over to stay alone. If a guest arrives at the hotel and is under 18 years of age the guest will not be permitted to stay alone. We may require photo identification (a driver’s licence or passport) as proof of age and if the guest is unable to present this to the satisfaction of the hotel we may terminate your booking without refund.
Please note that construction works are currently taking place in a neighbouring building to the hotel. This may cause occasional noise disturbance to our guests.
PET POLICY
With the exception of working dogs for disabled people, our hotel does not accept pets.
SMOKING POLICY
Please note all public areas and bedrooms are all non smoking, this policy allows us not only to meet legal requirements, but also to create a comfortable environment for all guests to enjoy.
Should we believe that guests have been smoking in bedrooms or any other part of the hotel, a Smoking Fine of £250.00 will be charged for a deep clean and they will also be asked to leave the premises.
CLEANING CHARGES
If damage has occurred to the room by the guests a cost at the discretion of the Duty Manager will be charged to your credit card.
COMPLAINTS OR COMMENTS
Any complaint or comment regarding a stay should be made in the first instance to the hotels duty manager at the time of your stay so that it can be resolved at the time.
RELOCATION
In the event that the chosen hotel is not available, or in cases of force majeure the hotel reserves the possibility of accommodating the customer totally or partially in a hotel of equivalent category for the same type of services. Any additional cost of the room, transport between the two hotels remain the responsibility of the hotel.
