Light Night
Light Night is a free event for all to enjoy on Sunday 18th November 2018. Choirs from across Scotland will perform for the switch on of Edinburgh’s Christmas light!
Silent Light
A brand-new and exciting collaboration between the spectacular Street of Light and the Silent Street Party in a unique festive event. Dance along to your favourite festive tunes under the new light installation on Edinburgh’s George Street. With different themes to choose from Silent Light takes place up to 5 times a day between 4.45pm and 10pm, each slot 20 minutes long. Silent Light will take place from 19th November- 29th December and tickets are available now from £4.50.

Festive Rides and Kids Attractions
The Forth One Big Wheel will illuminate the Edinburgh skyline with outstanding views across the city. With its cosy covered pods bejewelled with 20,000 lights the ferris wheel is a kaleidoscopic extravaganza.
Santa Land is back too, rejuvenated and dazzling, boasting some fabulous fun rides that the kids will love, including the Santa Train, the Christmas Tree Maze and several affordable kids rides. Around Santa Land there will be a number of other stalls to provide fun for all the family. Please note that Santa’s Grotto can be found on George Street this year.
St Andrew Square Ice Rink
It wouldn’t be Edinburgh’s Christmas without some ice skating so get you’re skates on! The unique Ice Rink surrounding the iconic Melville Monument is back, complete with bridges and a circular bar at its foot. Skaters of all levels are welcome.
